The Author

As I completed my MBA, one of my professors (Mr. Bill Tripp) gave us a key. And he said to us that this key will unlock many doors in our futures. Today, I decided to pull out my key and I am going to use it to open a door, the same door that society once thought, was locked. The same door that Dr. King entered but was shut, the same door that so many people fought to open, but someone managed to close it. Finally, after so many years of opening and closing this door one man succeeded and that man is Barack Obama.

The key that was given to me is a replica of the keys that they have used and I’ve earned my copy and I will use it to unlock the future for many people that feel like the doors have been locked and there is no entrance. To day as I say this to you, we as citizens, as a country, and as a nation can do all things. 

Let’s show the world that the dream that Dr. King had came to pass.

Let’s show the world that we can stand together and rise above it all.

Let’s show the world that it is time to make a difference.

Let’s show the world that the doors are opened and can’t be closed.

This is the time that we will come together and unite finally as one nation under God.

Now I have a dream… A Dream that we will bury our past and move on from the things that has divided us as a nation.

I have a dream that people of all nationality, sex, and gender will become equal.

I have a dream that every child that is coming up will have a vision that they can do all things. Everyone will get a good education and there will be no more deprivation in the economy.

I have a dream that we will hold our heads high and walk in confidence as we step out to do things. We will use power and authority. And we will no longer put things off

Let’s move on, from the walls that we believe our past has set to block us.

Let’s move on from feeling like we can only be what someone tells us to be.

Let’s move on from thinking there is a glass ceiling that is holding us back. Let’s break through the glass and work together to make this country stronger and better for generations to come.

Let’s lead by example and leave a new legacy for history and let’s call this legacy, a new beginning.

I know my dreams will come true because I completed my MBA.

I know my dreams will come true because I believe that I can do all things

I know my dreams will come true because in 2008, we have our first 1^st African American President and the 1^st female candidate to represent this country.

Let’s be about love

Let’s be the #1 country again

Let’s be proud to be an American Citizen

And most importantly

Let’s keep Dr. King’s dream alive.
